Mai Home Décor was established in 2013 in Singapore by two French husband and wife, who have been residing in Asia for more than 25 years. It is a unique company focused on creating, producing, and selling innovative and luxury lacquer furniture, lacquer lamps, lacquer trays, lacquer boxes, and lacquer home décor accessories.
Mai Home Decor’s first-ever collection were decorative lacquered table lamps and lacquered floor lamps based on creative design and impeccable lacquer craftsmanship: it instantly met broad success. We have continuously expanded our portfolio, and today our lamp collection comprises more than 60 stunning lacquer table lamps and lacquer floor lamps.
In 2016, building on our successful lacquer lamp platform, we successfully ventured into high-end lacquer furniture. Today, Mai Home Décor boasts a large collection of more than 120 luxury lacquer furniture, including lacquer bar cabinet, lacquer sideboard, lacquer TV cabinet, lacquer bedside table, lacquer chests of drawer, lacquer dining table, lacquer dining chair, lacquer console table, lacquer coffee table, lacquer side table, etc.

In 2019, we further expanded into home decor accessories. We currently have a collection of more than 100 stylish and innovative lacquer home décor accessories, including lacquer trays, lacquer boxes, lacquer jewelry boxes, lacquer picture frames, and lacquer paintings.

OUR DESIGN FOCUS
Our design focus is to create innovative mixed-materials products with lacquer as core finishing. We strive to integrate decorative metal accents, such as brass, polished stainless steel, aluminum, and chrome, into our luxury lacquered products. Such metal integration into lacquer requires the mastery of difficult techniques and excellence in crafts production.
We also work with many other noble materials and finishes, such as silver leaf, eggshell, leather, mother of pearl, faux-shagreen, faux-croc, etc. which we incorporate into lacquer to create innovative mixed-material furniture and home décor accessories.
OUR FACTORY IN VIETNAM
Our lacquered products are entirely handcrafted by skilled lacquer artisans in our factory in Vietnam, Bao Dang Co Ltd.
Bao Dang, founded by the same owners as Mai Home Décor, was incorporated in 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City and was the precursor of our lacquer lamp business.
Today, Bao Dang produces exclusively for Mai Home Décor as part of the same family business. It is a specialized lacquer factory which produces some of the most complex and sophisticated lacquer lamps, lacquer furniture, lacquer home décor accessories, and mixed-material products finished with lacquer.
The factory is in Binh Duong province, 30 km from Ho Chi Minh city, right next to the Saigon traditional arts and crafts lacquer village. This strategic location enables Bao Dang to tap into a large and nearby talent pool of skilled lacquer artisans.
The factory has a shop-floor of about 3,000 m2. Four core workshops, namely Carpentry, Metal Accent, Lacquering, and Special Finish, seamlessly work together to produce some of the highest quality lacquered furniture and lacquer ware.
